Kindergarten orientation and transition programs
Jolly Gym
Jolly Gym is the first phase of our transition to school program for children starting Kindergarten the following year. It is a gross and fine motor program that gives your child the opportunity to have fun, meet new friends and become familiar with ‘Big School’ and its surroundings. The program runs for 4 weeks during Term 3 2-3pm on Tuesdays OR Thursdays (Beginning 26/8 or 28/8). More information will be emailed before the first session. This then leads into our ‘Mudgee Beginners’ program which is held early in Term 4.
Mudgee Beginners - Kindergarten 2026
This program runs for 5 x 1 ½ hour sessions starting in Term 4. Taking place every Wednesday for 5 weeks. Further details are below.
Children can attend 1 regular session per week and engage in a combination of both classroom based and outdoor/gross motor type activities. The lessons will be taught in the current Kindergarten classrooms and in the infants playground.
Mudgee Beginners: For families with children starting Kindergarten next year, don’t forget to register for the Mudgee Beginners program. The program will begin on Wednesday, 5th November, and will run each Wednesday for five weeks. This year, we will be offering two time slots each Wednesday, allowing families to select the time that best suits them. Families are asked to meet at the Kindergarten entrance at the front of the school, where we will take the children into the Kindergarten classrooms for their Beginners session.
